Delicious has left a sour taste in my mouth.

You know, normally i wouldn’t reserve my blog for ranting- i’d rather rant to someones face. In this case, however, i will make an exception as i am unable to make direct contact with the creators of this ‘wonderful, revolutionary’ delicious program.

I dont know about everyone else, but i DESPISE clutter- both physical and virtual. I hate a crowded desktop and i hate a messy room. So after using Delicious for the past 20 minutes i have come to the realisation that it’s sole purpose is simply to create more clutter and annoy people.

Yeah, i was keen to give it a go. It sounded great……until i tried to ACTUALLY USE IT!. Watching my lecturer use it is like watching an Iron Chef prepare a royal banquet- graceful, skillful and masterful- whereas i can’t seem to grasp the concept of being able to highlight a section of text and post it directly to my blog.

This is an open call to all delicious Iron Chefs- show me how to prepare the kingfish sashimi of delicious pages.

Help me Obi Wan, you’re my only hope.

  1. Use scribe fire to post to blog. Delicious is only a bookmarking utility!

    1. Go to a site.
    2. Highlight a text.
    3. Right click on your mouse – you should see scribefire, select that
    4. The scribefire window will open.
    5. Click publish to Blog.

  2. And good on you for completing all submissions. And for filling out the wiki tables.

In this way you have made space for yourself to focus upon other things. We will talk about this at a future tute.
